Oregon Museum of Science and Industry

The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry is a museum geared to educating people about science here in Portland. The museum has a wonderful quirky factory look for its architecture, which definitely draws people into it. Situated on the south eastern quarter of the city right by the Willamette river, it has several exhibition halls, an auditorium/IMAX theater, and a submarine. One of the more interesting and complex permanent exhibits featured aborted fetuses (terminated through complications) that showed the various weekly developments of humans growing in the womb. The special exhibition on animation, partnered with Cartoon Network, was an interactive play-land that introduced children and adults to the innovative and technical sides of contemporary cartoon animation. It was wonderful to explore OMSI and see many families and children learning and getting excited about science.

I got an earful for making him do this...
