Cape Lookout State Park

A frosty morning excursion this past weekend, through the western hills of Oregon, brought John and me to a beautiful coastal park known as Cape Lookout State Park.  Within ten minutes of driving away from Portland, the land flattened out into rural countryside.  Thirty minutes into our journey the road was surrounded by large groves of Douglas fir trees.  This was our second adventure to the Pacific coast, the first time we visited Canon beach, which is located north of where we were.  We didn't stay too long in the park because our primary focus for the day trip was to check out the Tillamook Cheese Factory.  I'll post photos of the factory next week.

So Long, 2013

2014 will be a great year for many projects I have planned.  But before the new year can begin I'd like to feature some great accomplishments that Fancy Things has achieved this year.

2013 Personal Accomplishments:
-Worked at four non-profit organizations (mixed feelings about this one)
-Currently working at the Oregon Symphony as a Patron Services Representative (feeling great about this one)
-Relocated from Brooklyn, NY to Portland, OR
-Traveled to Lancaster, PA, Montreal and Quebec, Kewaskum, WI, Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone National Park, Multnomah Falls, and Canon Beach
-Got MARRIED! 

It's been a wonderful year for me, filled with great changes, and I can't wait to see what 2014 has in store.  Thanks for taking the time to follow my posts.  More Fancy Things are on the way!
